Terrell Owens seems almost happy that Bill Parcells retired after coaching the Dallas Cowboys for four seasons, according to a report in the Forth Worth Star-Telegram.
What's more, Owens reportedly said that not having the Big Tuna around the locker room will be good for the team.
Owens spoke to the newspaper from Miami, Fla., where he is recovering from finger surgery. He said his play and that of the Cowboys was disappointing during the past season. And the results — at least in part — can be attributed to Parcells.
"I am just...

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Now that T.O. has loaded up on TDs, he has a new gripe: not enough catches before halftime.
Terrell Owens said Wednesday his three touchdown catches this past Sunday let him know he's an important part of the Dallas Cowboys' offense, but he also noted that all three came in the second half.
He had only one catch for 19 yards over the first two quarters against Houston. And he was shut out over the first two quarters of the previous game, against Philadelphia.
A trend is developing and Owens doesn't like it.
"For...

Whether you like the guy or not, the Cowboys definitely looked like they were using Terrell Owens as a $10-million decoy in the first half of Sunday's game against the Eagles. I mean, no catches and Drew Bledsoe only threw once in his direction?
This was T.O.'s return to Philadelphia, so don't you want to focus on him and get him off to a good start? Nobody wanted this game more than Owens, who was embarrassed totally by the defeat to his former team.
I have nothing against Terry Glenn and Jason Witten, but Owens is great after the catch....

There’s an often told story about the philandering husband whose long-suffering and credulous wife walks into the same restaurant in which he is snuggled up in a corner booth with a long blonde dressed in enough material to make two handkerchiefs and a face cloth, and with his hand on her personal body parts and her lips engulfing his like a toilet plunger.
Outraged, the wife storms up to her ne’er-do-well cad of a spouse and demands to know the meaning of what she is seeing. As calmly and firmly as Dick Rumsfeld explaining why the...

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Here they go again: Terrell Owens and Donovan McNabb have their signals crossed.
Days before the buddies-turned-enemies face off for the first time since their nasty breakup, a misunderstanding is brewing over a text message McNabb says he sent Owens last week after a trip to the hospital was reported as an attempted suicide.
Owens said Wednesday he never got it. While he stopped short of calling McNabb a liar, the sour look on his face sure seemed to insinuate it.
Asked later if it was possible McNabb sent the...

IRVING, Texas (AP) - Stretching, running routes and catching passes, Terrell Owens was back at practice with the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday - an indication he could play Sunday in Tennessee.
Owens wore receiving gloves with bandages under the right one to protect the broken bone leading to his ring finger. He broke it in a game a week ago Sunday and had a plate screwed in the following day. This was his first practice in pads since.
Pain pills he was prescribed following the surgery were at the root of what Owens called a big...

Just hours after News 8 first broadcast details of a Dallas police report that said Dallas Cowboys star receiver Terrell Owens attempted suicide Tuesday night, Owens was back at the Cowboys’ Valley Ranch training center catching some passes from quarterback Drew Bledsoe.
“There was no suicide attempt,” Owens said. “The rumor of me taking 35 pills, I think, is absurd. I don’t think I would be here had I taken 35 pills.”
Owens also said he wanted to dispel any rumors that he had had his stomach pumped. “That is definitely...

Dallas Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens tried to commit suicide by overdosing on pain medication on Tuesday night, according to a police report obtained by WFAA-TV, a Dallas-Ft. Worth TV station.
In a news conference Wednesday afternoon, Dallas Cowboys coach Bill Parcells said he hasn't spoken to Owens and is "not really sure" what happened Tuesday night.
"I've got to get a little clearer picture. Most of the people here probably know more than I do," he told reporters. "I'm just a coach. I'm trying to get this team ready to play...
