DENVER (AP) - Denver police converged early Thursday on a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe they believe might have been used in a New Year's Day drive-by shooting that killed Denver Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams.
Television images of the sport utility vehicle, found abandoned along a street south of Denver International Airport, appeared to show the Tahoe had been painted black on the sides, front and back, but the top remained white - the original color of the vehicle authorities were seeking.

DENVER (AP) -- Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams wanted to save kids from violence.
Williams' mother, Rosalind, doesn't want her son's dreams to die after he was shot and killed early Monday. The white stretch Hummer in which the 24-year-old player was riding was hit with a barrage of bullets after a nightclub dispute following a New Year's Eve party.

DENVER (AP) - Broncos cornerback Darrent Williams was killed early Monday when his white stretch Hummer was sprayed by bullets after a nightclub dispute following a New Year's Eve party.
Police have no motive and no indication the 24-year-old player was targeted in the drive-by shooting of the limousine. The burst of violence occurred hours after the Broncos were eliminated from playoff contention.
